Starter Live Steam Garden Railway Set The most popular in our range of fully assembled ready to run live steam locomotives is now available as a Starter Garden Railway Set.   This set makes an ideal and affordable gift for anyone that has always wanted a real steam train in their garden. For the perfect introduction into live steam garden railways each set has everything you need to get going (except water and matches!) with an O Gauge Side Tank Loco and matching Tender, 20 solid fuel tables, water funnel and enough 32mm O Gauge track to make a 7ft x 4ft oval with 4 straights and 16 curved sections of clip together all metal track pieces. Available in Maroon, Standard Green, and Black. Please state colour when ordering.  Arange of rolling stock, additional curved and straight track, left and right hand points are also availalbe seporately. Modelled to the 16mm/ft narrow gauge scale the locos are 22cm long by 9cm wide, stand 13cm tall and weigh 1.1kg. The locos are fired using small solid fuel blocks loaded into a tray from the rear cab. This heats the water in the 120cc boiler to produce steam to the twin double-action oscillating cylinders. Speed and direction are controlled by a lever at the front of the loco. For that extra touch of realism a working steam whistle is operated from inside the cab. Each loco comes boxed with a 12-14psi safety valve, full instructions, water filler funnel, and a box of solid fuel blocks. Each loco is tested prior to leaving the manufacturers and comes with a full warranty. By their nature these locomotives involve naked flames and will have hot surfaces and hot water and steam under pressure. As such these locos are sold as a collector model and are for age 14+ and then should only be used under the close supervision of a competent adult.
