New York City subways make about $501 million a year. The New Jersey Transit averages $4 billion a year, which equals almost $12 million a DAY. Combined, that's over $4.5 billion a year. This doesn?t include buses, which is a widely used mode of transportation. So how does the government justify raising the price of ALL MASS TRANSIT in the Tri-State area? In addition, the tolls on the tunnels and bridges going in and out of New York are ALREADY ridiculously high. And so they?re raising the tolls on all of them, too...how can they justify doing that? Are they that in need of money, after making as much as they already are? I could see if maybe our money was going to be used to do some work on the mass transits or on the roads, but there hasn't been much work done on the roads ever. Just driving around the City, we hit so many potholes and grooves that the CD player in our car skips. And don't even get me started about when I'm on my motorcycle. So how can they raise the prices?
